-Hamor ("ass") is the name of the King of Shechem, whose son Shechem ("back early in the morning," like the Sun which is a symbol of Satan's imitation of the Son of God) rapes Dinah in Genesis 34. Most "kings of the Earth" are types of the Antichrist Satan "the prince of this world" (John 12:31) & "the king of Babylon." (Isaiah 14)
-in Numbers 22, the ass speaks to Balaam, thereby imitating man "the image of God" just like Satan "will be like the Most High" (Is. 14:14). The only other beast which speaks in the Bible is the serpent Satan (Rev. 12:9) in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3).
-asses are enslaved to humans throughout the Bible to show that devils and people who have evil spirits inhabiting them will be conquered by God & His people. (Rev. 19) That is why Jesus is riding an ass when He triumphantly enters Jerusalem. (Matt. 21)
-the "wild ass" is among the beasts of Job 39-41 which represent devils: the wild goat, the unicorn, the ostrich, the horse, the hawk, the eagle, the behemoth (hippopotamus, elephant, dinosaur), the leviathan (the dragon, the sperm whale, the great white shark, the crocodile).
-A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back. (Proverbs 26:3) Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule [also "ass"], which have no understanding (Psalm 32:9) Christians are commanded by God to seek wisdom from Him (Proverbs 3), while devils lack wisdom and therefore rebel against God.
-Because of its connection with ignorance, in modern slang, referring to someone as a dumbass means that they are unintelligent. Many people would find this term vulgar and rude. The ass is used to "moon" people, and the Moon is a symbol of Satan.
-In contrast, to refer to someone as a jackass in modern slang provides a connotation of being obnoxious, rude, and thoughtless, with or without the added connotation of stupidity. This usage is also considered vulgar. A less vulgar substitute is donkey itself.
-The unmodified word ass and the adjectival form asinine have entered common use in the English language as terms used to describe a person who is stubborn, foolish, or disagreeable.
